It is with a very heavy heart that I convey to you our dear friend and statewide Board of Directors West TN Vice President James Braswell passed away Wednesday evening after a courageous fight with cancer.
James has been a faithful member of TSEA longer than I have been. He served state employees in many roles at TSEA, including as a past Chairman of TEAM-PAC. TSEA was truly in his blood and spirit. His passion for our association was unquestionable.
James was always glad to see you and loved his TSEA family deeply. He was always full of great advice. He gave me strength and support and wasn’t afraid to tell me if I was doing a good job or not. I valued his wisdom and his commitment to us always doing the right thing. More than that, James was my friend. He will be missed terribly by many.
Please lift up our board, our staff and our TSEA membership as we mourn the loss of “Braswell”.
I’ll close by saying what I’ve told him by text, by phone and in person “rest easy young man, somebody greater than us has got this.”
