Performance Evaluation Reviews for Cycle Ending September 30, 2017

For a few weeks now TSEA has been fielding calls about Final Evaluations for the cycle just ended. We want to remind you of some important actions that can be taken and the timeline that is required.

First, if you feel there has been a procedural mistake (e.g., only one interim was conducted or the supervisor did not discuss the final review score), you must ask for an Administrative Review within 14 days of acknowledging the final Performance Evaluation in Edison.

TSEA can also help members ask for a courtesy review if there is a substantive question. TSEA will be accepting these requests for 30 days after the acknowledgment has been made in Edison.

It is important to remember the appeal must be based on a procedural mistake. There is no appeal process if you simply disagree with the score you have been given.

Finally, we are now in the next cycle and some exciting changes have been announced by the Department of Human Recourses for the coming year. These changes will allow employees to have a more significant impact on their Performance Reviews. We will share more about Performance Management 2.0 soon.
