State Employees to receive 1.5% raise

During this legislative session, the Tennessee General Assembly passed a $32.8 billion state budget. Included in the budget is a 1.5% raise for state employees.

TSEA worked hard to ensure this raise was a true across-the-board raise for all state employees. As a result, no state employee will be excluded from this year’s salary increase for any reason. We believe that if the state considers an employee good enough to employ, that employee should receive the same salary adjustments as their fellow workers.

The raise will go into effect July 1, 2013 and will appear on employees’ July 30th paychecks. If you are denied your raise for any reason, please notify TSEA.
