As of Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, the 2025 United States federal government shutdown has officially ended. After the United States Senate approved a funding bill on Monday, Nov. 10, the United States House of Representatives passed it on Wednesday evening, and President Donald Trump signed it into law later that night.

The legislation restores operations of most federal agencies, provides back pay and job protections for federal workers furloughed or working without pay, and extends funding for the majority of the government through Jan. 30, 2026 (with some agencies funded for the full fiscal year).

TSEA is monitoring communications to employees and the issuing of back pay. If you were impacted by the shutdown, and have any questions or concerns, please contact us at [email protected] or by phone at 800-251-8732.
