Association Events

Lobby Day

TSEA sponsors an annual Lobby Day during the Legislative Session to encourage members to come to Nashville and speak face-to-face with their elected officials. The normal schedule of events begins in the morning with an address from the Governor and/or other Legislative officials to speak to TSEA members and answer questions. The importance of TSEA’s Lobby Day is to make time for members to meet and talk first hand with your area legislator about the Association’s legislative proposals.

Legislative Dinners and Breakfasts

Our regional legislative events allow TSEA members to hear directly from their state legislators in person and in their own communities. These events allow our members priority access to their state elected officials outside of their hectic schedules at the state legislature.

Representative Assembly (RA)

TSEA’s Representative Assembly (RA) is held annually, primarily as the single general business meeting for the entire membership of the Association. As provided in the TSEA Constitution, the RA is empowered to adopt a budget, establish general policies, act on changes and amendments to the Constitution and Bylaws, and discuss and vote on resolutions and proposals presented. There are also sessions to attend on a variety of topics, such as legislative issues, brainstorming for Association events and participation, and more. The event provides a forum for members to give feedback to the Association and take an active role in shaping the Association’s future.
