FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Delegates at the Tennessee State Employees Association’s 52nd Representative Assembly approved a bylaws amendment changing the name of the ETSU Chapter to the Northeast Higher Education Chapter.
The chapter name change reflects an expanded focus on serving and recruiting higher education employees throughout Northeast Tennessee. In addition to East Tennessee State University, the Northeast Higher Education Chapter will now be positioned to recruit and engage employees from Northeast State Community College and area Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology (TCATs).
The change is intended to strengthen TSEA’s presence within the region’s higher education community and provide additional opportunities for employees to become involved in the association.
By broadening the chapter’s scope, TSEA hopes to increase engagement among higher education employees while building a stronger and more connected membership base throughout Northeast Tennessee.
TSEA congratulates the chapter on this new direction and looks forward to supporting its continued growth and outreach efforts across the region.
