Columbus Day
Typically, the Governor uses his authority to substitute the day after Thanksgiving for Columbus Day for the purpose of closing state offices.

Thanksgiving Holiday Observed State offices will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 26 as well as Friday, November 27.
