Please take a moment to mark these important dates in your calendar. The Representative Assembly (RA) is scheduled earlier this year, and several key dates for Board Nominations and other events have shifted.
TSEA Scholarship Application Timeline
February 14 – March 31, 2025
One of TSEA’s great membership benefits is our scholarship program:
- 21 $750 awards
- 1 $1,000 Criminal Justice award in honor of Debra K. Johnson
- 1 $1,000 award for dependents of TN State Troopers in honor of Rod Sharp
Eligibility: High school seniors, college freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and TSEA members with at least one year of membership by the start of the application cycle. Scholarships are non-renewable, but non-winning students may reapply each year.

Deadline: Midnight, March 31, 2025
Lobby Day 2025
April 8, 2025 – Nashville, TN
Join us for an in-person Lobby Day to advocate for state employees!
- April 7: Board meeting and Lobby Day instructions
- April 8: Legislative appointments or House Chamber event (Governor pending as guest speaker)
Details on lodging and registration for chapters traveling over 50 miles will be sent soon.

Board Nominations Deadline
Friday, February 21, 2025
Positions up for election:
- Regional Vice Presidents (3)
- District Directors for Districts 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11
Requirements:
- Nominees must be members for at least one year.
- Submit nominating petitions with 25 valid member signatures.
- Completed petitions, bio forms, and photos must be received by February 21.

Important Deadlines:
- April 15: Provide TSEA your home email for electronic ballots OR request a paper ballot.
- April 22: Electronic voting begins; paper ballots mailed.
- May 22: Election Day (vote counting).
