Nashville Mayor issues “Safer at Home” order

BREAKING–Nashville Mayor John Cooper announced this morning the Executive Order No. 7, “Safer at Home,” effective Monday, March 23.

Executive Order #7 orders all businesses not performing essential services to close for 14 days beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, March 23.

The order also directs all residents of Nashville and Davidson County to stay inside their homes, and immediately limit all movement outside of their homes beyond what is absolutely necessary to take care of essential needs.

At this time, Federal and State offices and services will remain open.

As a result of the order, the TSEA office must close. However, staff members will continue to work from alternate worksites and be available by phone and email.
