Making Your Voice Count: 100% Success with TEAM PAC Endorsed Candidates

TSEA November 6, 2024 Comments Off on Making Your Voice Count: 100% Success with TEAM PAC Endorsed Candidates

You did it TSEA!

We are proud to announce that 100 percent of the candidates TEAM PAC endorsed for Tuesday’s General Election were elected or reelected to serve in the Tennessee Legislature as a part of the 114th General Assembly.

State employees played a big part in these candidates’ victories, including public endorsements, knocking on doors, phone banking, sending out postcards, writing articles, promoting endorsements on social media, and, most importantly, voting. One of our endorsed candidates won their race by only 131 votes! These victories belong to each one of you who contributed time, energy, and support. Your work and your votes truly made the difference.

We’ve said it many times—state elections have the biggest impact on your pay, benefits, working conditions, and retirement. Together, TEAM PAC, and our dedicated TSEA members helped secure these wins and ensure your voice was heard. We encouraged you to support candidates who have consistently supported you, regardless of party, and you did! And now you can be proud that we’ve helped elect 62 candidates who have proven their commitment to state employees, including 12 new members—3 in the Senate and 9 in the House. TSEA’s Government Affairs Director Evan Sudduth is planning introductory meetings with the new legislators to continue building solid relationships.

Let’s carry this momentum into the upcoming legislative session and continue advocating for the issues that matter to active and retired state and higher education employees in Tennessee. We look forward to working with these newly elected members of the 114th General Assembly. The legislative session starts on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

Congratulations to all of our winning TEAM PAC endorsed candidates!
