State Employees to receive 3 percent raise

The state employee Pay for Performance salary increases and bonus structure for the 2016-2017 performance cycle were released today.

Eligible state employees rated as Valued, Advanced, or Outstanding will receive a 3 percent increase in base salary. Those with ratings of advanced or outstanding will also receive an additional one-time bonus of 1.5 percent or 3 percent respectively.

TSEA appreciates Governor Haslam and the legislature for including these pay adjustments in the state budget.

P4P raises and bonuses will be implemented in January 2018. Eligible employees can expect to see the increase in their last paycheck in January.

If you are already at the maximum of your position’s salary range, your P4P raise will be rewarded as a one-time bonus.

According to the Pay-for-performance guidelines, to be eligible, a preferred or executive service employee shall have completed twelve consecutive full months of employment with the State beginning on or before October 1, 2016 and ending September 30, 2017.
